Maintenance by Frequency
General checks by frequency. Exact intervals and specifications are defined per machine in your delivered Path Pack documentation.

Daily Maintenance
The checks that protect every shift.
Clean the Film Path
Remove product debris and film residue from rollers and guides. Product debris around the sealing and forming areas is the most common source of next-shift faults.
Inspect the Sealing Area
Check that jaw faces are visually free of residue and buildup, and report any scoring instead of cleaning over it.
Check Sensors
Wipe sensor windows — photocells and tracking sensors — with the cleaning materials approved in your machine manual.
Check Air Pressure
Drain moisture from the air preparation unit and confirm supply pressure is within the range stated in the machine documentation.
Check for Abnormal Noise
Listen during operation at normal speed. New sounds — knocking, rubbing, clicking — are early signals worth recording before they become faults.
Weekly Maintenance
The mechanical hardware daily cleaning does not reach.
Inspect Belts
Check tension and condition per the machine manual — glazing, cracks and fraying are replacement signals, not cleaning targets.
Inspect Bearings
Check for roughness and temperature outliers by comparison between similar positions, where safely accessible.
Check Fasteners
Verify fasteners on sealing assemblies, infeed and guarding per the machine manual — with a calibrated wrench where torque values are specified.
Inspect Sealing Components
Beyond the daily visual check: condition of elastic elements and jaw contact, against the manual's wear criteria.
Preventive Maintenance
System-level guidance. Intervals and specifications come from your machine documentation — never from generic sources.
Film Handling System
Roller condition and rotation, reel shaft fixation, tracking sensor condition.
Feeding System
Chain flights and lugs, guide wear surfaces, transfer points.
Sealing System
Jaw faces, elastic elements, temperature behavior over a run.
Cutting System
Blade condition and fixation, drive couplings and timing elements.
Motion System
Cable runs and connectors on moving axes, mounting and backlash checks per the manual.
Electrical System
Cabinet cleanliness and terminal inspection by qualified personnel, per the manual's schedule.
Pneumatic System
Air preparation unit, cylinder behavior, fittings and tubing condition.
Maintenance Records
The record is the tool.
Keep a record of inspections, replaced parts, abnormal conditions and corrective actions. A signed per-machine record shortens every diagnosis, supports warranty and support requests, and turns repeated findings into a wear-part plan.
